Every other Canadian electrical study platform focuses on the Red Seal exam. But Alberta apprentices spend four years working through Period 1, 2, 3, and 4 exams before they ever touch Red Seal — and almost nothing existed to help them study the right material in the right format.

Who it's for

SparkyStudy is built for electrical apprentices across Canada and the US — including Alberta apprentices registered with AIT working through their Period 1, 2, 3, or 4 branch exams, students at trade schools like NAIT, SAIT, Keyano, Lethbridge Polytechnic and Red Deer Polytechnic, and US apprentices preparing for NEC-based licensing exams. You upload your own course material; SparkyStudy helps you study from it.

It's also ideal for retake candidates who need a smarter, more targeted approach than re-reading textbooks.

How we handle course material: SparkyStudy does not ship or redistribute copyrighted curriculum (ILM, Pearson, McGraw-Hill, publisher-specific textbooks, etc.). Study content is generated from each student's own uploaded modules and stays on that student's account — nothing derived from one account's uploads is shown to another. Where the Canadian Electrical Code, NEC or similar standards are referenced, SparkyStudy cites section and rule numbers only, never reproducing or paraphrasing the actual code text.
